  1. Week 5 Practice this Saturday: This upcoming Saturday, September 28th we will return to Freedom Ridge Park. Practice starts at 10am, please arrive early to get settled!
  2. Mississippi Cyclocross Project t-shirt. The shirts are in, we will have the shirt on Saturday, September 28th. 

  3. The final Weeknight Series event: Due to a work engagement for Coach Ro, we have moved the Ridgeland ‘Cross Weeknight ‘Cross Racing Series finale race to Friday, September 27th. Please join us close with a bang a have a large number of our kids in attendance as we did this past Saturday… It was magical. 

    All kids races are free. Kicks under 10 race is at 5pm and will be for 10 minutes, we will have a Taco Truck onsite. Make it a family event. Register online at https://www.bikereg.com/ridgelandcrossweeknightweek4

  4. This Saturday, before practice! Coach Ro and his family will be joining a fun family ride to celebrate our National Park, The Natchez Trace Parkway. Following the ride they will attend the 10am practice. See details below.

    The event is sponsored by the City of Ridgeland and it will start at the Mississippi Crafts Center in Ridgeland. Sign in at 6:45 a.m. Mayor McGee will lead a road bike ride up the Natchez Trace starting at 7:00am. There will be a family ride to the Overlook and back starting at 8:30am. The ride is free and open to anyone. If you can not make the 7:00 am ride with Mayor McGee or the 8:30 family ride, plan on coming out at your convenience and enjoy a few miles on the scenic multi-use paths adjacent to the Natchez Trace.

    Park Ranger Amy from the Natchez Trace Parkway will be on hand with information and exhibits until 11:00. The ride is open for adults or kids, just make sure you have a helmet and blinkie. https://www.facebook.com/events/335595010641300/

2019 Mississippi Cyclocross Project: Week 3 & This Saturday Meeting at the Ridgeland Trails

Parents,

Good afternoon! Thank you for joining us on Saturday.  This upcoming practice, on Saturday, September 21st we will meet at the Ridgeland Trails, 521 Giles Ln, Madison, MS 39110 and not at Freedom Ridge. This is the home for our weeknight cyclocross series.

We will take a break from the sun and practice in areas with trees and lots of shade!   See details for this week.

  4. USA Cycling Affiliation & Prorated License: The Mississippi Cyclocross Project is free to all participants so are the events from our partner, Mississippi Cyclocross Cup Series. In order to have our program insured via our affiliation with USA Cycling we must have all participants age 5 and above have a valid USA Cycling License. USA Cycling has rolled out a pro-rated license for the remaining of 2019 and the entire 2020 calendar year. Please visit their website to purchase the Juniors license for your kiddo(s) at https://www.usacycling.org/race-licenses/2019-20-2xcx

  5. Our Mississippi Cyclocross Project Uniform (jersey and shorts). 
    • Jersey: This is optional. However, free shipping will be available until Monday, August 31st. Must select ship to the club. We will be ordering t-shirts as well, however some form of identity help participant integrate into the program. It helps commitment and dedication to the program! 2019 Mississippi Cyclocross Project: Week 1 and this Thursday

  1. This Thursday, September 5th: This Thursday we kickoff the Ridgeland ‘Cross Weeknight ‘Cross Racing Series p/b Mississippi Cyclocross Cup in Ridgeland, MS. Please join us. Kicks under 10 race is at 5pm and will be for 10 minutes, we will have a Taco Truck onsite. Make it a family event.

    The series spans four Thursdays during the month of September. Race dates are: September 5th, September 12th, September 19th & September 26th. All kids races are FREE of charge, however we need parents to register them early, not onsite! Adults can purchase a series discount pass. The registration is open, get all the details at https://www.bikereg.com/ridgelandcrossweeknightseries

  3. Indian Cycle Fitness & Outdoor. They will present to kids/parents details on basic bike maintenance, helmet adjustments and have provided our program with a 15% discount for service at their shop.  Just mention that you are a member of the Mississippi Cyclocross Project.

    • Jersey: This is optional. However, free shipping will be available until Monday, August 31st. Must select ship to the club.   5. Other Events: 2018 Mississippi Cyclocross Cup Series: We are excited to announce the 2018 Mississippi Cyclocross Cup Series! From the same group who brought you the Ridgeland Cyclocross Festival and facilitate the kids/juniors, Mississippi Cyclocross Project. 

    We are making easy for you to register for our two weekend events; Spooky ‘Cross on October 27th & 28th and the Ridgeland Cyclocross Festival on November 17th & 18th.  You will be able to register for both weekend, a total of 4 races (Sat & Sun) via one free transaction.
